Aliya is a henna artist, educator and entrepreneur based in Bangalore. Over 4+ years she has worked with 1000+ clients across bridal mehndi, private events, stalls and exhibitions, developing a clean Indo-Arabic style built for a deep, long-lasting stain.
Alongside the artistry she runs A1 Henna's product line: natural, chemical-free henna and stencils, mixed in small batches and shipped across India. She started rolling her own cones because she couldn't reliably buy henna she'd trust on a bride's hands.
Teaching is now just as central. Her 20-day training batches (Batch 11 and counting) have trained 100+ women — not only in design, but in paste-making, hygiene, pricing, sourcing and the day-to-day business of being a working henna artist. She also takes part in and mentors for henna competitions.
The thread through all of it: help women turn a love of henna into a real, confident livelihood.

Aliya's work is built around helping girls and women turn a love of henna into a livelihood — becoming confident artists and, in time, business owners of their own. Her classes go beyond design: pricing, sourcing, hygiene, client care and the newer tricks and techniques that make an artist's day faster and their results more consistent.
The goal is simple — make the henna artist's life easier, and make the craft a real career option for more women across Bangalore and India.
